Nasi kuning (Indonesian for: "yellow rice"), or sometimes called nasi kunyit (Indonesian for: "turmeric rice"), is an Indonesian fragrant rice dish cooked with coconut milk and turmeric, hence the name nasi kuning (yellow rice). Ingredients of Nasi kuning
- It's 8 butir of telur ayam.
- You need 1 butir of telur bebek.
- You need 1 bungkus of cabe kering.
- Prepare secukupnya of Bawang merah dan putih.
- You need of Bawang bombay.
- Prepare of Tomat.
- Prepare of Kencur.
- It's of Jahe.
- You need of Lengkuas.
- You need of Sereh.
- Prepare of Daun salam.
- It's of Daun jeruk.
- Prepare of Gula merah.
- It's 1 ruas kecil of kayu manis.
- It's of Air asam.
- You need of Garam.
- You need of Penyedap rasa.
- You need of Bubuk kunyit.
- You need 1 bungkus of Santan kara segitiga.
- You need 1 of terasi bungkus kecil.
- You need 5 cup of Beras.
- You need of Minyak goreng.

The rice is flavored with santen (coconut cream), kunjit (turmeric), salam, pandan, jeruk purut, lemongrass and salt. This traditional Indonesian dish consists of rice cooked in coconut milk that is usually seasoned with turmeric, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. Even though yellow rice is the star of nasi kuning, the dish is assembled out of other Indonesian dishes and complements, such as fried chicken, potato fritters, sliced omelet, fried anchovies, shrimps, or fried tempeh While the coconut milk was a fantastic addition for the rice, the nasi kuning did just as much need the other added ingredients - kaffir leaves, lemongrass, and ginger - to help balence the taste of the overall dish. Without the springy and zesty freshness that these ingredients contribute, I would suspect that rice just cooked in coconut.
Nasi kuning step by step
- Rebus telur ayam dan bebek tambahkan 1 sendok teh minyak goreng saat merebus biar mudah di lepas.
- Bersihkan cabe kering, keluarkan biji-biji nya, cuci bersih, rebus sampai mendidih.
- Kupas bawang merah dan putih jg jahe,kencur,lengkuas,cuci bersih.
- Siapkan 1 ruas sereh,1 daun salam,1 daun jeruk,cuci bersih.
- Potong tempe dan kacang panjang kecil-kecil, lalu goreng tempe, angkat,sisihkan.
- Bumbu halus: blender cabe merah yg sdh di rebus bersama bawang merah dan putih,jahe,kencur,dan terasi yg sdh di bakar.
- Nasi kuning : Cuci bersih beras, lalu siapkan sereh,lengkuas yg sdh di geprek tambahkan jg daun salam dan daun jeruk juga santan segitiga masukkan kedalam magic com beserta beras yg sdh di cuci dan di tambahkan air secukupnya.
- Bumbu bali : panaskan wajan tuang bumbu halus tadi masukkan kayu manis dan air asam aduk.hingga warna berubah gelap, masukkan telur rebus aduk-aduk tambahkan air sedikit, setelah bumbu Bali mulai terlihat menyusut airnya tambahkan minyak goreng aduk dan tunggu hingga meletup-letup, matikan kompor.
- Tumis tempe: Iris-iris bawang putih, bawang bombay,dan tomat,panaskan wajan tuang minyak goreng sesendok, tumis irisan bawang dan tomat masukkan kacang panjang lalu tempe tambahkan gula gram test rasa aduk diamkan sebentar, angkat, sisihkan.
- Mie goreng : siapkan panci utk merebus mie, setelah air mendidih masukkan mie tunggu agak setengah matang, buang air sisa rebusan mie sampai kering, masukkan bumbu separuh aja, minyaknya, kecapnya, aduk tambahkan daun bawang aduk, angkat, sisihkan.
- Siapkan sambal dan bawang goreng.
